Standard Monthly Charges (Residential)
HGAL - the city bills water usage in hundreds of gallons. Example: Usage of 25 = 2,500 gallons.
KWH - the city bills electric usage in kilowatt-hours, a unit of energy equal to 1 kilowatt of power used for 1 hour.
Electric - summarized monthly current charges total includes: Base fee of $8.25 Energy usage at $.1075/KWH Power Cost Adjustment at $.006291/KWH (Rates effective July 2022 subject to change)
Water - summarized monthly current charges total includes:
- Base fee of $13.51 • First 5,000 gallons at $.0058/gallon • 5,001 to 10,000 at $.00604/gallon
- 10,001 to 75,000 at $.00651/gallon
- 75,001 to 1,000,000 at $.00684/gallon
- 1,000,001 + at $.00406/gallon (Rates effective January 2021 subject to change)
Sewer - summarized monthly current charges total includes: Base fee of $22.70 Water usage at $.00539/gallon (Rates effective January 2021 subject to change)
Toter Fee - tote allowance and trash pick-up at $10/month
Connection Fee - one-time $10 charge per service to turn services on or to change the utility account customer name.
NSF Fee - $40 insufficient funds fee charged for return check processing.
Occupancy Fee - one-time $30 charge for Building Inspections to review the safety of the dwelling. The resident must contact Building Inspections to schedule an appointment.
Penalty - $5 charge per service for non-payment or if payment is received after the bill due date.
Reconnection Fee - $25 to turn services on if disconnected for non-payment.
Security Deposit - $250 charge for renters (includes mobile home lot rental). The security deposit will be applied to the final bill upon vacating the property and any remaining balance will be due/any credit balance refunded. Security deposits may also be refunded after 24 consecutive months of timely payments.
